Michael Dorkowski, OD, FAAO

Dr. Michael Dorkowski is a native of New Port Richey, Florida and a graduate of the University of Florida. Dr. Dorkowski attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee and completed a post graduate residency in family practice optometry with a focus on medical eye care at West Tennessee Eye in Memphis, TN.

After working in private practice optometry for several years, Dr. Dorkowski joined the faculty at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where he was the coordinator of the nursing home service for The Eye Center at the College.  Dr. Dorkowski has extensive experience treating patients and training students in the care of glaucoma, retinal conditions, diseases and procedures to the surface of the eye, and surgical procedures of the eyelids and has lectured nationally on the topics of eye disease and advanced therapies in eye care.

Dr. Dorkowski specializes in medical care including glaucoma, retinal and ocular surface disease, as well as procedures for disease and lesions of the eyelids and surrounding areas.
