Dr Johnson received her Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College then spent two years as a research assistant at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. She then went on to obtain her MD from Boston University School of Medicine. With her MD completed, she completed and internship based in internal medicine in Boston then a residency in ophthalmology at the University of South Carolina. She completed her clinical glaucoma fellowship at the renown Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary affiliated with Harvard.
Dr Johnson has dedicated her medical career centering around glaucoma patients. She has worked at some of the best universities in America; Dartmouth, University of NC, University of Virgina and has taught medical students, residents and fellows. Her resume includes editing a textbook on cataract surgery in the glaucoma patient and multiple scholarly papers and abstracts. She has also made 20 international trips to train doctors and residents in the care of glaucoma. She offers up to date medical, laser and surgical procedures as needed for her patients.
