Magda Barsoum-Homsy, M.D., FRCS(C) specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus affecting both children and adults. Dr. Barsoum-Homsy is board-certified and fellowship-trained. She is internationally recognized as one of the leading pediatric ophthalmologists in the country and is a recipient of the Achievement Award from the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. In addition to having publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and multiple book chapters, she has also been invited to be a guest lecturer in Africa, Europe and Asia. As one of the very few pediatric ophthalmologists on the west coast of Florida who has the expertise and surgical skills to treat pediatric cataracts and glaucoma, Dr. Barsoum-Homsy teaches residents the art and science of pediatric ophthalmology where she is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida.
